Excellent mature mag, like the best fanzines, but with a professional gloss and newsstand distribution. Lots of Hammer Films coverage, interviews, news and reviews, plus many well reproduced and rare photos. Publisher/Editor Jones had previously worked for Warren Publishing as a cover artist and editor and helped launch the Warren horror comics line by creating Creepy magazine.

Wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteI bought issues #1 and #3 but missed the Frazetta edition. Like Castle of Frankenstein, it was a cut above Famous Monsters and others. I wish they'd made a go of it.
